Simply the best. They will never sell you anything you don't need. Me and my family have been using AE since the 80s. I work for a company that has a fleet of 90 vehicles and I talked the bosses into using them to maintain the fleet. That's how confident I am about their service. The company i work for has been trusting AE for over 30 years. Like I said at the top of this review, simply the best. The only downside is that parking your vehicle to drop off can be a challenge. The parking lot is usually pretty full. But, I look at that as a good thing. If a business parking lot is full, then the must be doing something right. Dont let the full lot discourage you. They will get you in and out in no time. This company is top notch.

My timing chain crapped out while away from home. Had it towed to AE Auto Care in Livonia at Middlebelt & 6mile roads. They had the T chain replaced in 2 days. I've always had great efficient service there. The part ended up coming in $200 less than what they quoted me. They passed the cheaper price on me. Very honest, reliable & efficient auto repair!

Who doesn't need a reputable auto repair shop Not once have we had any issues with AE Auto Care services in Livonia, MI and they always go the extra mile to take care of us. The fact that they offer a courtesy ride to/from their shop is a tremendous help and makes it much easier for me to get my car worked on. I'm not someone who leaves reviews often, but when I find a place that truly delivers on quality and honesty, I feel compelled to share my experience. Long story short, I was told by other shops that I needed a new engine. I took my car to A&E and prepaid $5,000 towards a new motor. However, I received a call from them suggesting that I start by replacing the valve cover gasket. Guess what It's been a few hundred miles later, and there's still no oil loss. I should have lost three-quarts of oil by now. Thank you, A&E, for your honesty and integrity. I've found my new go-to shop!

Been going to AE Auto for over 15 years. On our 1st visit we went there to get a 2nd opinion. Another garage told us we needed over $2000 in repairs and AE said it was just something minor and did the work for about $150. We drove that car for another 6 years and never had a problem. We now go there for everything. Before any big trip we take we have the car looked over by them to make sure all is ok and to fix anything that might cause issue. We travel a lot of miles and have never had an issue. Everyone I refer to AE switches to them after one visit. They have never steered us wrong. We use them for oil changes, new tires, brakes, engine repairs and anything that has gone wrong or needed to be replaced on our autos over the years. Everyone there is nice, and they charge a fair price. Thanks for doing a great job guys!

I finally found my mechanic! Moved back to the area after 15 years away and started looking for someone who could maintain my family's vehicles. I had a lot of headaches before I landed here on a tip from someone. They were able to diagnose the suspension issue on my wife's Juke after 2 other shops had failed. We had most of the front suspension replaced before it got here and they realized it was mostly just some bushings that were worn. They communicated very well and took the time to ensure I had accurate information to make repair decisions with. I appreciate the integrity that they have and the willingness to listen to what you need. Truly grateful for the experience and will be back whenever I have any auto maintenance needs.

The most important trait in an autorepair shop is honesty. Unfortunately you don't know until you try them out. First time taking my truck to A&E today. I had my transmision replaced at another shop and around two weeks later a rattle started. I was sure something wasn't done right. So I take it to A&E expecting the worst and it was a 33 dollar clamp for the exhaust heat shield that was loose. That's right, I took my car to a shop and they only charged me 33 bucks. My new shop of choice!

It's been a long time since I've needed to use a repair shop. I was in fear of needing a new transmission. AE was honest, didn't end up needing a transmission (other trans work). The work was done quickly and every staff member I encountered was very courteous. Price I paid was fair, I will definitely be returning for any future vehicle problems. From a diesel pickup to 4 midsize cars they have gone above and beyond excellent work on my vehicles. Ranging from a simple brake job up to and including replacing a blown engine I have zero complaints. Only one time did I have to bring a job back to them and it was corrected in less then 20 minutes. My grandmother has been going to AE Auto Care for several years and each member of the staff have gone above and beyond standard service, with every single one of her visits. When she walks in the door, they greet her by name and treat her like they would their own family. Initially, she had gone to them for a second opinion for an expensive fix on her Cadillac. Come to find out, the place she had gone to beforehand was trying to charge her for something she didn't need. The staff let her know it was unnecessary and provided the services she actually needed. She now has a Lincoln and only uses AE Auto Care for any and all services she needs. I'm grateful for their honesty as my grandmother is not well-versed in the automotive world and they could over charge her for any of the services she requires, but they never have. They've gone so far as to ensure that anything she ever needs she gets the most fair price and will call around for parts to make it so. They are truly an establishment that concerns themselves with the customer first and that is why they have such an amazing reputation around the city. I trust that each time my grandmother goes in she is in the best hands in Livonia and the surrounding area. They are as honest as they come, in this industry, and you would be remiss to use any other auto service.

Best place I ever took my car and van. They always find the problem at a reasonable price and they go above and beyond what one might expect. Example: I was having a problem with my power windows alarm and door locks. It was some kind of electric relay switch that was corroded. They called the dealer to get a replacement part, but the part cost a $1000 dollars so they took it out and cleaned it up everything has been working fine since. It has been several months and all is still working fine. Oh, and the best part, they charged me $49 dollars. Customer for life! I wonder if the dealer would have done that. Ha ha.

I moved to Ann Arbor last year and I still drive back here for my car to get work done. For example, today I'm getting trans work done. The best auto mechanic in A2 quoted me $287. AE quoted me $130. Their service is cheaper, they don't overcharge, and they are straight up honest with you. I almost didn't even want to leave a review, lest my little gem of an auto place be flooded with customers. There is no better place is southeast Michigan. Period.

Been doing business with AE for years. We buy high mileage vehicles and drive them until they rot away because it saves us money. I do a lot of my own service but use AE for jobs I don't have the time or tools to tackle. Generally they offer me alternatives that save me money.

I've taken my vehicle here twice. Once for tires and once for breaks. Called today around 130 because I heard squeaking. They got me right in. Finished the job in an hour. Gave me a right home and back go the shop once everything was done. Reasonable prices and the staff is great!

Great team of people. Front desk Service guys are top notch. One of them even came out and jumped my car to get me there when my alternator was having issues. Unfortunately, we had some miscommunication about the services I expected from them and a couple things we left undone and a bit below standard. However, I brought it to their attention (actually long after the fact) and they were quick to make it right with a very fair partial refund on one of the parts. I left satisfied even though I think I found another shop I'll keep visiting otherwise.

Well I went to them for service on my van; they were the upmost professional. I wanted work done and was willing to pay the $1000 plus to do so; unfortunately they wouldn't allow me, to have work done that apparently didn't need it and or needed right away. The communications were awesome, especially when sometimes I can be considered to be over worried and having lots of questions. At the end of the day, only what was necessary was done and cost me a 3rd of what I was willing to pay. I am great full and will continue to do business here as long as the service remains patient and honest as they were with me this week! Thumbs up guys!

I began taking my Solstice there about 4 years ago for a heater issue (the resister melted and they had to rewire)...less than $100 later, I was on the road. Now everyone in my family takes their car there for repairs, no matter the extent. Every review I've read talks about their honesty, and I can truly say I agree. They do not try to rip you off, and Steve explains, in detail, the repairs to be performed before doing so. From sports cars to SUVs, A&E is the place to go for trustworthy and reliable service.

From dropping the car off thru picking it up, the service is great! I have had work done on all of my vehicles and referred others there as well. Steve is great and does a fantastic job explaining the problems and options to fix it. I've compared prices and they are very competitive. The most important piece is their honesty! While I was convinced I had an issue with my mini-van they assured me it was fine. They could've easily found a problem and charged me for it but they didn't, instead Steve sent me on my way, without charging me for the diagnosis.....he knows I'll be back!

I first brought my car to them about a year ago because i heard good things about them and saw they had great reviews. Let me tell you- these guys are the best! I drive a 25 year old Volvo and it's hard to find someone that is reliable and willing to work on it. They've always been honest and up front about all repairs and are very reasonably priced; cheaper than anywhere else and QUALITY work. Now i only take my car to them when it needs servicing. Even when they're busy, they usually find time even to just look at your car so at least you know what to expect before they get to work. Don't trust your cars with anybody else, take them to AE!

Needed a headlight replaced and for literally the same cost as it was to get my headlight replaced a couple months ago someplace else, I got my headlight changed, oil changed, complete inspection, two other lights replaced, fluids topped off and my car was done while I waited in like an hour. Never before have I run across such fair prices and awesome service. I got very lucky finding this place and my car will never be serviced again by anyone except these folks....... I drive my car all the way from Plymouth to take it here and I probably pass 25 other auto service centers on the way!

Great place! They were able to fit me in with little notice and really helped me out of a situation. They were very friendly and attentive to me, and was able to fix my problem fast. They also charged me a lot less than 3 other places quoted me. You leave there feeling satisfied and not like you were being tricked our hustled. Would recommend them to anyone.
